Managed JPMorganChase’s retail banking deployment of a Distributed Computing Infrastructure (DCI) to support the migration of 600+ branches and back-offices (5,500 end-users population) from legacy systems to Argo Teller Pro. Deployed new infrastructure across Development, Systems Integration, User Acceptance, Training, Production, and Disaster Recovery sectors. Integrated with host mainframe, server farms, middleware tier, retail branch components, and client component development. Implemented key technologies including MQ Series distributed middleware; WMQI on OS/390 Mainframe; and Windows 2000 Server with SQL Cluster solution integrated with EMC Storage Area Network, (on SUN E15K)CISCO Load balancer / 6509 router based WAN, MQ Concentrator on, Base24 Fraud protection on Tandem, and IBM X345 and X440 Server Farm infrastructure. Interfaced with multiple vendors including Microsoft, IBM, EMC, CISCO, and Argo Data Corporation.

Managed $25+ million budget and directed project operations across 15 technology segments including CISCO based core data infrastructure; market data services; server farms; storage solutions (SAN & NAS) GroupWare - Lotus Notes & Outlook; external access; firewall infrastructure; proxy; DMZ & Internet Access; desktop rollout; LAN/WAN/MAN; multiplexer infrastructure implementation; configuration management; DHCP & DNS.  Coordinated 30+ personnel within a merged matrix organization interacting with Verizon, AT&T, Avaya, Global Crossing and other vendors.  Directly managed a team of 8 including planners, a technical architect, an analyst, and engineers.  Worked closely with multiple business units involving risk management, real estate, contingency planning, and management reporting.

Coordinated $250 million PMO development and implementation services project to spin-off a major telecommunications manufacturing entity (Agere). Aligned spin-off business into market-focused groups to address the delivery of IT infrastructure and client systems to network equipment and consumer communications markets.

Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Jersey City, New Jersey

Provided assessment and process redesign to implement Peregrine Help desk Software Application and adhere to Federal financial control requirements.

AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals  

PECO Energy Corporation, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Spearheaded development and integration of a $20 million Convergence Billing & Customer Care platform, overseeing 50 technical personnel. Managed vendor selection, needs analysis, training customization, service contracts, and integration strategies. Led disaster recovery planning, pilot program development, risk analysis, and mitigation planning. Managed key technology vendors including AT&T, IBM, Saville Systems, COMDISCO, and Bell Canada.

Led IT projects within the Microtechnology Department including technology infrastructure, business process reengineering, and desktop integration. Directed product rollouts, disaster recovery, and business resumption planning.

Solomon-Smith Barney, New York, New York

Spearheaded a $250 million (NextGen) Novell/Windows NT-based technology overhaul. Revamped national brokerage house I.S. infrastructure to increase competitiveness and market share. Developed program management office strategy to replace entire technology infrastructure at 475 branches nationwide, establishing an end-to-end distributed client/server environment.

Port Authority of New York & New Jersey

Oversaw 12 project managers in creating a computerized capital construction program management and information control system. Contributed to capital planning, forecasting, and championing project management methodologies.

Andersen Consulting LLP, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Orchestrated development/integration of a $100M+ mission-critical global IT/IS system for JPMorgan to enable fully secured messaging with worldwide banking systems/branches. Directed a15-person high performance development team.

AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, Wilmington, Delaware

Partnered with Network Access Solution for project/process management services to launch AstraZeneca's Telecommuting program. Worked with executive managers to incorporate corporate HR retention strategies. Interfaced with Verizon and NAS for user installation, reporting, project objectives and communication with vendors, contractors, and corporate management.

Significant Accomplishments:

  • Managed $50+ million technology budget including procurement, installation, and professional services.  

  • Played an integral leadership role in technical design and deployment efforts of central architectural topology across 3 primary data centers, impacting the entire retail-banking infrastructure.  

  • Led RFP to involve seven vendors for retail bank branch technology infrastructure procurement, overhaul, and implementation.  

  • Established framework for relocation/consolidation of global Data Centers, 20+ manufacturing facilities, and numerous other facilities.  

  • Oversaw relocation of a major enterprise data center (300+ servers and associated technologies).  

  • Played a key role in facilitating long-term workforce reduction, trimming staffing levels from 17,000 to 10,000 employees.  

  • Planned, designed, and deployed complete voice, data, and video infrastructure to support 5,000 users including 1,000 equities traders.  

  • Led migration of 9,000 users from a Centrex (5-ESS Centrex Phone system) with Octel voice to an Intuity voice mail platform.  

  • Developed deployment, integration, and infrastructure strategies to establish a seamless network linking 1,000+ home offices nationwide.

  • Coordinated company-wide knowledge transfer initiative, mentoring technical personnel to develop in-house training capabilities.  

  • Consolidated 10+ databases into a unified, integrated, efficient corporate BackOffice system utilized by 2,000 end-users nationwide.
